    2 periods in month

I do take BC & yes I have an alarm so I don't miss any. That being said I always start Thursday or Friday after starting my active pills. Been on BC for 4 years & it's been this way but now for last 2 months I have my period but then start again around 5-7 days later & go for 2-3 days. Is this normal due to my age (29) ? I'm married & Dr said we could have sex during my inactive pills but now I'm not sure what's up with my body

    Missed Period

This is the first time since I got my Nexplanon taken out that I have skipped a period. I am currently 12 days late. I took 3 dollar store pregnancy tests and they all came back negative. What should I do?

    Thyroid and Hormone Health

Hi There, I am a young, extremely healthy and active 23 y/o female. I recently had bloodwork done to figure out the root cause of the following symptoms: stubborn weight specifically around the middle, thinning hair, mild graying hair, occasional heat flashes. My energy levels are stable and sleep is normal. My intuition was right that something is up. My blood tested slightly high for testosterone levels (54 ng/dL) and slightly high for TSH (3.4 uIU/mL). Hypothyroidism runs in my family but I tested....

Extremely painful period after first skipped on birth control

Hello, all! I have a couple questions for all of you. Four years ago, I was diagnosed with PCOS and prescribed a daily combination pill by my gynaecologist to help with the painful, long periods and other symptoms often associated with that. The diagnosis was confirmed with the typical battery of blood tests (my testosterone levels were through the roof). However, about six months ago, I checked in with my GP to have some other tests done and we also ran those same tests which were done previously....

    Getting off of birth control

I want to have the possibility of getting pregnant and having kids in the next 5 years and I have been on birth control for the last 7 years. My periods are light but painful and I just want my body to be natural and I don't want to miss my opportunity to have children with my husband. Any advice on when to get off of birth control or what I should expect or how long before anyone else got pregnant after they stopped birth control?

    Missed period by period symptoms

I stopped taking my birth control a month ago and was supposed to get my period this past week. It is several days late and has still not yet arrived. However, I am feeling period symptoms, bloating, increased secretions, and it feels like I am bleeding but when I check there is nothing. I am not sure if it is post pill amenorrhea and if you would even have symptoms of your period coming with this. Has anyone had any experiences like this, ideas what may be causing this, or ways to help your period....

    Missed Birth Control

Last week, I missed 2 birth control. Ever since, I've been bleeding heavily accompanied with cramping, diarrhea, and nausea. I am now back on track with no sign of the four going away, now with added lower abdominal pain and pelvic pains. Is this normal?

    Hair loss after BC

I stumbled upon all of these posts while researching about the connection between hair loss and birth control. Most of the time, it feels as though I am all alone in this process of the “dread shed” after stopping BC. Reading and then rereading many of these posts has helped me in so many ways! Thank you to everyone for sharing their stories, tricks, knowledge, and encouraging words for all of us who are struggling to get our bodies back on track off of the pill. I personally appreciate it more than....

    Missed Pill, Early Period

I missed a couple birth controll pills and started my period half way through my normal cycle. I still have a week and a half of pills left before the placebos (when I would normally get my period). Should I continue taking the pills like usual? Should I stop taking them, use back up contraceptives, and start a new pack once this period is over so that it's synched correctly with the placebo pill week? Also, is getting my period a week and a half early cause for concern, or is it simply from....
