    Painful period

I’ve got an extremely painful period and it’s getting worse. It’s like a stabbing pain constantly in my vagina. I’m bleeding loads. I’ve got headaches and just can’t go out because of the pain. Im constipated, the pain wakes me up sometimes. I’m also peeing all the time and sometimes after a pee the pain goes away for a while, I really don’t know what to do or what this is and I’m scarred to go to a doctor.
A couple months ago I experienced a miscarriage so is it connected to that? Is it because of that?

Just need some help and guidance x

    RE: Painful period

if the muscles in your uterus contract or tighten, you will experience period pain. In general, You can take over-the-counter painkillers such as naproxen (Aleve), ibuprofen (Advil), or acetaminophen (Tylenol), which are very effective for period pain.

    RE: Painful period

    Hello,

I have stage IV Endometriosis. I think if your periods are debilitating to you, it's a good idea to find an OBGYN that has significant experience with Endometriosis. You cannot be officially diagnosed unless you have laparoscopic surgery. So it's just something to discuss with someone who knows more about it. Extremely painful periods does not mean that you for sure have it, but it can be a strong indication at times. I know it's scary to think about, but you can get some answers either way.

You got this, and I hope you find some relief!
