    Tired of trying and failing

Hey. I'm 40, 5'4", 240 (give or take 2 pounds). I've done a lot of different things, quitting sugar, quitting carbs, meal replacement shakes, intense exercise, light exercise, intermittent fasting, and more. And guess what? None of it works. My clothes don't feel different, I don't look different and the scale certainly hasn't changed. Please can someone offer some kind of reasonable solution. I just want to be healthy.

Trying to lose weight... nothing is working

Hey there. I'm trying to lose a good amount of weight, I'm 5"1 and 195lbs. I've tried dieting, tried exercise (which is difficult as I am physically disabled by an unrelated condition), neither had any effect. I even tried eating nothing but crackers and lettuce for a whole week, with portions that wouldn't keep a mouse full, and still nothing. Its like the weight is completely stuck. It varies day to day from about 195~200 but never below 195. This has been an ongoing battle....

    Options

I just turned 18 and I am 5"3 and 174. In summer 2017 (June) I was 146 and felt ok. Still a little bit chubby. But in August 2017 I was 177-183 and I felt like crap. In October for my birthday I wanted to buy a pretty dress to wear to my party but I completly gave up and I realized I needed to change not only for visual reasons. I'm adopted and don't know too much abt my family health except for that I'm the only person without diabetes. I get checked as I should for diabetes. But....

    Anyone familiar with this book?

So, I been looking around for some reading material on weight loss, and I stumbled across an offer on a book called "The Fat Burning Kitchen" (I will leave a link for reference below). It is free, except for a shipping cost, so I might jump on it. Has anyone read this book? I am curious to see if anyone has any experience with it. https://bit.ly/2L22bj7

    Going on vacation...

And I'm so so so so excited! I've literally never been on a real vacation... Not once growing up or even in my adult life (I'm 28 years old). So as you can imagine, I am beyond estatic to be going to Turks & Caicos. But I'm also a little nervous. I recently lost 80 lbs and I still have 20 more lbs to go. I'm the type of person that I need to be pretty regimented and strict about what I eat and even the food I allow myself to be around. Thus, I'm afraid that this vacation....

Weight loss has stopped even though diet continues.

Hello Everyone, I have been on a diet since the first week of January, I started at 210 pounds and now I am 183.4 pounds. Also, I am 5'9. However, I haven't been able to move from that weight even though my physical activity is higher and my diet continues to be the same. I'm a competitive tennis player, even when I was overweight, but now I also go to the gym 3 to 5 times a day, cut my junk almost completely from my diet and eat anywhere between 1500 Calories to 1000 Calories a day.....

    Weight loss has slowed

Hello all, For the past several months, I have been on a (strict as possible) diet and exercise routine. During the week I have no/very little: sugar, cheese, fatty foods/grease, etc. while walking on average between 16-23mi a week. I also kill about 4-6 cups of ZipFizz/water a day. Doing this, I have successfully gone from 345 to 286. My current issue is I believe I have hit a "plateau" so to speak - I am not losing as much weight at once as I have been. Is there anything I can do differently....

    30 year struggle continues

I have been overweight my adult life. It all started when I was terribly ill. I am scared that if I get thin, I will still be sick. I know that I am sick-and that thinness isn't going to cure me. I just don't DO IT. My challenge is that I am my own worst enemy. I feel so defeated and I haven't even begun.
