    Avocados are a unique fruit.

Avocados Avocados are a unique fruit. While most fruits are high in carbs, avocados are loaded with healthy fats. They’re particularly high in monounsaturated oleic acid, the same type of fat found in olive oil. Despite being mostly fat, avocados also contain a lot of water and fiber, making them less energy-dense than you may think. What’s more, they’re a perfect addition to vegetable salads, as studies show that their fat content can increase carotenoid antioxidant absorption from the vegetables....

    Tired of trying and failing

Hey. I'm 40, 5'4", 240 (give or take 2 pounds). I've done a lot of different things, quitting sugar, quitting carbs, meal replacement shakes, intense exercise, light exercise, intermittent fasting, and more. And guess what? None of it works. My clothes don't feel different, I don't look different and the scale certainly hasn't changed. Please can someone offer some kind of reasonable solution. I just want to be healthy.

Trying to lose weight... nothing is working

Hey there. I'm trying to lose a good amount of weight, I'm 5"1 and 195lbs. I've tried dieting, tried exercise (which is difficult as I am physically disabled by an unrelated condition), neither had any effect. I even tried eating nothing but crackers and lettuce for a whole week, with portions that wouldn't keep a mouse full, and still nothing. Its like the weight is completely stuck. It varies day to day from about 195~200 but never below 195. This has been an ongoing battle....

Need a change; weightloss, muscle build!

I'm 37, father of 5, husband and an overweight and out of shape officer. I NEED to change things, but I struggle with ongoing motivation, what to do and most importantly, I don't have a lot of extra means (Money) for the food I should be eating or the gym. I have a kettlebell and heavy bag. I struggle with portion control and have a terrible sweet tooth. 5 years ago, I was 170 with defined pecs, abs, arms and a defined jaw line. Now I'm ridiculed for being the fat guy in a little coat....

I just turned 18 and I am 5"3 and 174. In summer 2017 (June) I was 146 and felt ok. Still a little bit chubby. But in August 2017 I was 177-183 and I felt like crap. In October for my birthday I wanted to buy a pretty dress to wear to my party but I completly gave up and I realized I needed to change not only for visual reasons. I'm adopted and don't know too much abt my family health except for that I'm the only person without diabetes. I get checked as I should for diabetes. But....

    Anyone familiar with this book?

So, I been looking around for some reading material on weight loss, and I stumbled across an offer on a book called "The Fat Burning Kitchen" (I will leave a link for reference below). It is free, except for a shipping cost, so I might jump on it. Has anyone read this book? I am curious to see if anyone has any experience with it.

    Going on vacation...

And I'm so so so so excited! I've literally never been on a real vacation... Not once growing up or even in my adult life (I'm 28 years old). So as you can imagine, I am beyond estatic to be going to Turks & Caicos. But I'm also a little nervous. I recently lost 80 lbs and I still have 20 more lbs to go. I'm the type of person that I need to be pretty regimented and strict about what I eat and even the food I allow myself to be around. Thus, I'm afraid that this vacation....
