    Over 55 Black Female

I have struggled with 36"/39" waistline. It is hard for me to stick with dieting. I love to exercise (walking and full body workout) but nothing is helping my waistline . Over the last 4 years my blood pressure is up (145/75-99). My doctor told to me eat clean and get it under control. I've tried, but how do I get motivated. OK, I'm starting the whole 30 today. I pray for me.

37 year old female, wanting to get healthy and lose 80 pounds

I'm just seeking support from others like me. I am 37...soon to be 38 and I am obsessed with food. When trying to diet or lose weight, I think about food all the time. Food rules me instead of sustaining me. I am currently at my heaviest weight of 260, realistically I need to be 160, but would be happy to get under 200 to start. I've yo-yo dieted for years, but I need to find a permanent healthy lifestyle change for myself. Cigna kept calling me suggesting to use their health programs and....

    50 and over

I live with all males; ages 15-46 and all have different eating habits. How can I keep my diet in tact and my body from gaining weight? Not losing weight but maybe gaining because of premenstrual.

    Best and worst workouts

Jogging on a hard surface will eventually cause orthopedic problems. Talk to any knee and hip replacement surgeon and you will find out that jogging will eventually result in either a hip replacement, knee replacement or both. They recommend against it. I jogged for 5 years and eventually found that pain in my knees told me to stop. I lost no inches around the waist, had a pulse of 62 and had to take blood pressure medicine anyway (heredity).

Losing fat as a young teenager

So I'm 15 this year and I basically want to be more fit and look better. I wouldn't consider myself unhealthy or obese but I'm, to a certain extent, overweight . I'm 173cm tall and I'm 70kg. A couple months ago, I got myself checked and I had 20% body fat. My main insecurity is the fat around my belly and waist, as they're quite chubby. I did try some dieting but I came to realise that it's not that healthy as a growing teenager (I'm not taller than my dad yet and....

Ethic/Legal question about eating disorder diagnosis

I have a question. First I’ll give you background: I am participating in a research study (paid) and because I “indicated that I induce vomiting and/or overuse laxatives” they are requesting that i get a consent form from my doctor to participate. The consent form must say that I am a healthy adult and I am not sickly. If I take this form to my doctor, will I be forced to talk about it? And if I talk about it- could this result in a permanent diagnosis of “bulimia” or any other form of eating disorder....

    Spitting out food

My significant other is over weight. He cannot stop eating so he has reverted to chewing his food up without swallowing and spitting it out. He does this only for cookies or chips, but now he is chewing up Fritos and or Ritz crackers and spitting them out once they turn into a pulp. I told him he is still getting the salt from them and for sure some calories. He had a quadruple bi-pass about 12 years ago. Whenever he goes to his cardiologist his tests come back good. But I am concerned about what....
