    Just Tired

Hi All. I have spent just about 20 years being told I am fat, I need to lose weight by my mom and the army. Wither I am honest with myself or anyone my weight makes me depressed which makes me eat which causes weight gain. I am not big on working-out and over the years I have develop medical issues that have slowed me down. I am just trying to get motivated and committed to my cause; to be happy and to love me.

I know it is a struggle. You are not alone. Try and start small, cut out one bad thing at a time. Like soda, or candy. Take walks, drink water. Then once you have your bearings trying cutting something else.
    You can do this!

    RE: Just Tired

I have seen many people lose weight with determination, perseverance, coaching and motivation from others, not because they want to please people, but because they want to live happier and healthier.

I am totally sure you can do the same, get a plan, join others who share same goals, persevere, and above all believe in yourself and have willpower.

Eating food is not a crime neither being fat. So don't bother what other says. But as much as your health concern, it does matter. Look God grants us just live once. We should do what we love to do.
If you love to eat then do it. But you should mix up with some exercise that helps you keep fit.

    RE: Just Tired

Hi Just Tired, I hear you and feel your exhaustion. I have joined a water aerobics class and find it to be a fun way to increase my exercise, but still struggling with the emotional eating. Talking with the ladies in my class is also very helpful. They all seem to be going through the same thing. Loving yourself, to me, is the first step. Good luck.

I know the feeling. It was hard for me to get motivated and really start on my journey not to long ago. I started reading blogs more about weight loss doing more research and started talking to more people to help motivate me. One of my friends recommended a program and it has helped me greatly. If you or anyone is interested here is the link: https://mmini.me/22LbsGone . I hope this helps and wish you luck!

    RE: Just Tired

Hi Just Tired. I am just tired of people judging others on their weight. No matter what size you are, you have to be happy with yourself. As you said, when someone mentions your weight to you, you turn to food. Stop them. Tell them your weight is not up for discussion. Also, find your best characteristics. Write them down and read them daily, maybe 2x/day. Read them as often as you like or need. Make a goal for yourself, even if it is small. Make it something you can obtain in a short amount of time, such as finding a great outfit that makes you feel good, reading a self help book. Anything you would like to achieve. Once achieved, make another obtainable goal you would like to achieve.

Maybe work on your depression first. You are eating as self-medication, treat the issue and it will be easier to stop the self-medicating.

    RE: Just Tired

Thank you so much for your vulnerability~! The struggle is real! No question. The fact that you are here tho, and posting says somethin~! At least to me. Maybe a change is right the corner at your next decision. I have been doing quite a bit of research lately, just turned 50 and have noticed my body is slowing down. I'm curious have you looked at this program or are there any others within the comments that have? Your feed back would be really appreciated. Thank you again LadyK~!
