    Need Guidance

I am starting to put myself first and taking care of myself. First thing I need to tackle is my weight. I am a stress eater and cannot get out of the cycle I am in - any suggestions?
What si a great diet to follow that is easy with a person who is very limited on time and always on the go?

    RE: Need Guidance

First, if you are a stress eater, you should eliminate stress from your life.

Second, you need to be in caloric deficit if you want to lose weight. You don't need to follow any diet, count your calories, move more, and you will be fine.

Don't understand calories? There are thousands of videos on youtube, how to prepare meals for the whole day, how to count calories and macros, how to exercise to not only lose weight but look good.

    RE: Need Guidance

I think the healthiest attitude a person can have is to loose the "diet" word. You have to not diet, but learn how to eat the foods that are right for your body to take the weight off. Look at it from a nutritional view. The more you know about food, the more you know how it works with your body. Then take a look at your body, how you are eating and are you moving enough to burn the food you are putting it. I've had such a horrible battle with my diabetes and my weight, until recently when suddenly a light came on with my CDE. She put me on a "No Carb" meal plan. At first I felt like I was starving myself. But the more I researched food the more I began to understand. Suddenly my blood sugars started dropping down where they should be, I stopped craving sugar and a lot of the foods that were really my enemy (potatoes, pasta, breads, cereals). Mind you I still have them but not very often and not in large quantities. I went from a stubborn 226 to 210. Now my next goal is 200. Set little plateaus to achieve that will carry you through your goals. You can do it! Keep a positive attitude, keep your focus and keep your eye on the prize! You are working toward making a better you, a new improved you! And somewhere inside of you is the key that unlocks it all. The more you know the easier it will go.
