    RE: Hit a Plateau

I feel ur pain, tried for 2 years, not a pound lost. I went KETO, no sugar, limited fruit, low carb veggies, higher good fats, more proteins. I have 2 bad knees, do very limited exercise, but down 43 lbs since Dec 1, 2018. I feel terrific, was tough, but so much available to help u on keto, from recipes to prepacked.....I checked w my Dr first, and bp down, cholesterol all down, am happy I have done this, carbs are not my friend.....so I will make this a permanent lifestyle change.
U can do it!!! Much success 2 u!

    RE: Hit a Plateau

    Hey TBone,
You don't mention what kind of diet you're on. I'm guessing you're Male since you mentioned that you want to get down to 175 lbs. I used to be 238 lbs. I've had both my knees replaced. 2014 then 2017. I am diabetic type 2. What finally worked for me is the ketogenic way of life and intermittent fasting. I'm now down to 155 lbs and am sporting an A1c of 5.7. And this since July of 2018. Google Dr. MERCOLA'S WEBSITE. Sign up for his newsletters. Also check out Dr. Jason Fung's book on intermittent fasting.
    Good luck,

    RE: Hit a Plateau

What diet are you on. Keto is the best for weight loss, if you are not diebetic. If you are then check with your doc and keep track of sugar levels as well as ketone levels. If you are already on keto, then recheck, carbs usually sneak into everything.
Adding a little low impact exercise would also help...

    RE: Hit a Plateau

Do you do any strength training? Sometimes that can help you get over a plateau. Try changing up one thing, anything and see if that causes any change. Pick up a new hobby. You'd be surprised the impact some joy/pleasure can have on your weight loss journey.
