Tired of trying and failing
Hey. I'm 40, 5'4", 240 (give or take 2 pounds). I've done a lot of different things, quitting sugar, quitting carbs, meal replacement shakes, intense exercise, light exercise, intermittent fasting, and more. And guess what? None of it works. My clothes don't feel different, I don't look different and the scale certainly hasn't changed. Please can someone offer some kind of reasonable solution. I just want to be healthy.

RE: Tired of trying and failing
I understand completely, trying to be consistent with any of those things is not realistic. Do you have a friend or someone at work that would work on similar goals with you so you can motivate each other?

I was in the same boat as you until I started taking redtea. My friend Sierrah showed it to me. Its best thing anyone has ever showed me. So I want to share with others because I know the struggle. I have already lost 26 pounds. I didnt have to change my diet or exercise more. I have been getting mine mine with this coupon.

RE: Tired of trying and failing
Have you ever tried a buddy? A friend or family member to meal prep and exercise with you? I am in the same situation and I do not have that. It would help me so much. I am starting to force myself to eat a small side salad with every meal, limiting my meat intake, upping fruits and veggies, lots of water and just exercising 30-60 minutes a day. That is better than my normal poor diet and no exercise.

RE: Tired of trying and failing
That’s very discouraging but don’t give up. If your doc has ruled out medical issues then careful eating habits and more exercise is needed. I found using MyFitnessPal app helped track things as I added some weights and walking in the pool for 45 min per day. After a couple of weeks the weight started going down and after 6 months it’s nearing my goal as got stronger too. Best wishes.

RE: Tired of trying and failing
I've been there too. Intermittent Fasting on an every other day schedule (stopped eating at 8 pm, did not eat again until roughly 6-8 pm the following day) lost my first ten pounds. Then it seemed to stop helping and I was having difficulty sticking with it. I am trying NOOM now, and the accountability seems to be helping...a couch texts you daily if you do not log foods and if your food choices are out of line. Foods are categorized as green, yellow or red depending on calorie density. Too early to say if it works, but it is definitely helping me be more consistent. MyFitnessPlan.com is a free food and exercise tracking app with a great facebook page with hints...many swear by it and as long as you can keep up the food logging it may help. good luck!

I have similar issues. I only measure my size and track food. I also post positive statements where I can see them. I get outside as much as possible. Its a slow process, however, I have seen some results. I also do the virtual walks for motivation. I currently am doing a amerithon 3521 miles in a year. I am behind in my miles however I will finish it! (runtheedge.com)

RE: Tired of trying and failing
I am right there with you...29, 5'6" & 295 lbs... :( and I have tried EVERYTHING...well everything legal!...I have Actually had success with TruVision(supplements)...started at 320 lbs ended at 285(that was in 3 months)...I didn't stay with a good diet and had Zero exercise so my results didn't last(plus didn't let the pills help me form better habits and stopped taking them for awhile)...I sell these supplements and can tell you I ONLY do so because they work!!!! and they are All Natural!!!! safe enough for Children to take!!!!! Research it!!! I am back on them as of yesterday and have lost 3 lbs so far...I am Committed this time!!!!!(need to get healthy to have a baby...and I want just One of my own!!!!)... :)
I have started using NOOM also...just to help me with accountability...so far that seems to be helping also...(NOOM is an app on mobile devices)
