RE: Struggling to lose belly fat

As the circle closes in, those are naturally the areas losing fat. The last place to really lose it and that takes the longest is around your belly. Weight loss is a reflection of fat loss. Fat loss is attained through burning it off. You need to be eating smarter and watching your macros. If you operate at a slight calorie deficit from your BMR, you will start to slowly burn through calories.

Anything works. Walking, swimming, controlled weight lifting, tennis, running, heck....yard work. Watch your diet....as that is what contributes to mid-section weight gain. And then over time...say 3 to 6 months, you should see yourself getting leaner and starting to shed that midsection weight. Good luck.

Also, cardio is pretty much good for losing fat everywhere. Things like brisk walking, jogging, swimming, whatever you can do to get your heart rate up. Good luck!

If you have a gym membership it might be worth talking to someone about the machines and which you might be able to do without putting strain on your back. In addition, I plan my meal to significantly reduce simple carbohydrates, trans fat and saturated fats from my diet e.g. bakery food, animal skin/fat, refined grains, butter, cheese, soda, juice, etc.
