RE: Is this ezcema or psoriasis?
Hi! I am new here, and was browsing, saw your post. I did not look at the pics. I am old, so I have been through a lot of stuff. You have had it for years, have you ever thought of going to a doctor and asking for a scrape biopsy? If you did that, you would know for sure what you had. It sure beats worrying about it for years. FYI, eczema is a general term for "you have a rash, I don't want to take the time to diagnose". Any doctor who tells you that you have eczema should be taken out and shot, in my opinion. Google the word "eczema" and you will see that it covers everything from fungal infections to psoriasis to lichen to hives.
Once you find out what it is you actually have- get a biopsy, don't let the doctor guess, as you have done- then attack teh issue and get better!!!

RE: Is this ezcema or psoriasis?
Eczema is just a name for an unspecified rash... It can be viral, fungal, allergic or bacterial- stuff like tinea, lichen planus, and contact dermatitis are all lumped under "eczema". Psoriasis is a specific diagnosis. If you go to a dermatologist, DEMAND a scrape biopsy- you are paying them, not the other way around- and a specific diagnosis.
