    Bariatric surgery skin skin skin.

I don't know about the "beauty" part of this category. However, I had bariatric surgery several years ago, AFTER menopause. I had not considered myself to be especially vain about my looks, but I guess I am. I was not informed at the time that my skin would not "bounce back" after this surgery--I should have asked, or done more research, but didn't know that. The skin on the lower half of my face; cheeks, mouth, chin line; and skin of my ENTIRE neck doesn't just droop or sag. It hangs down in fold after fold so severely that I no longer recognize the face in the mirror as mine. I cannot even begin to afford to fix any of this with the obvious solution, a face lift. It is quite depressing, and I wondered if anyone else has ANY ideas about this subject. Thank you very much.

RE: Bariatric surgery skin skin skin.

Please, if ANYONE has ANY Advice about this skin problem, ( or, about any of the other HORRIBLE conditions that you must live with, 10 years for me, after this surgery; chronic constipation AND diarrhea, chronic nausea, difficulty with memory retention,---and on and on ); or if you are continually suffering from any of these yourself, I would be so grateful to communicate with you. Sorry about my pity party here, but it can feel very isolating and lonely sometimes to feel so disconnected from a normal life, no matter how much you attempt to plan for the " expected " UNexpected. It would be great to have a message board for Bariatric Surgery Survivors.

I'm so sorry you're going through this! You might want to check out the weight loss board here. I've seen some posts about bariatric surgery over there and the people who posted them may be able to help you more.

I've recently had a nose fixed and a general facelift. I had had plastic surgery biases. But when I've gathered all my courage I've got the perfect result. Pm me for the pictures. As for the doctor, I strongly recommend this one https://au.linkedin.com/in/dr-michael-zacharia-85929341 .
