    Bad skin problems

I have a few problems with my skin, including Large pores, very oily t zone, acne scars, hyper pigmentation, redness, and skin sensitivity. My pores always look clogged and very large, no matter what I do. Even pore strips don't work very well. I have tried products designed to get rid of the excess oils but what ends up happening is that my skin begins to peel and then it produces more oil. I am using a gentle face soap with a spin brush, a non-alcoholic toner, and a moisturizer with spf and hyaluronic acid. I am also using rose hip oil on my face in order to get rid of the acne scars and it has been working for me but my biggest concern is the large pores and oily skin.

    RE: Bad skin problems

I have had good results with Paula's Choice Skin Perfecting 2% BHA liquid. Also her Skin Balancing pore reducing toner. The only other treatment that worked was prescription Accutane or its generic equivalent, but only while I was actually taking that prescription med. It was dangerous, it was thought, to keep using it.

    What is your question?

I think you need a toner and gentler products. Facial skin that went from oily to dry and then back to oily was also my problem, causing terrible acne in the process. The acne left behind scars. Everybody's goal has been to be oil-free, forgetting that the face actually needs a certain amount of oil to stay away from acne. I learned to use cleansers that do not remove all the oil from my face only recently. When it gets too dry, I use Nivea as moisturizer. I also started using All Purpose Hydroquinone Cream to remove my acne scars. It takes effect within 2 weeks, effectively fading my scars and lightening my skin.
