    heart attack, or?

Hi there, to give a little history on whats going on ill start with , this all pretty much started 2 weeks ago. I am 30 year old male and in pretty good condition, only thing I would say is I don't eat the healthiest. Around 2-3 weeks ago I was just finishing up taking ciproflaxicin antibiotic. Towards the end of taking that I started to become lightheaded/dizzy almost all day every day. I also had chest pain directly in the center of my chest that felt kind of like someone was just pushing my chest, and a burning feeling. This feeling would move from the middle to the left side of my chest, and has been constant for 2 weeks now. I have gone to the hospital twice over this and blood work/ekg/ultrasound/xray all show nothing is wrong, my blood pressure is good, and heart rate is good. Most of the dr. or nurses look at me and go " oh your 30 " nothing must be wrong, and off I go. But I can tell you something is wrong, I just don't know what. I have pretty much eliminated that its GERD/Acid reflux, I took a GI cocktail while I was in the hospital and it made no difference, and ive taken Nexium for 3-4 days, plus ive had severe case of heartburn before and I know the difference. So to wrap things up, the center chest pain for the most part has shifted to my left side , basically just under my shoulder I feel it most, its like a burning feeling, and the lightheadedness/dizziness is still here all day, the only time I don't notice the lightheadedness is for the first 15-25 minutes of each day after I get out of bed. Oh and one more thing, I CANT SLEEP AT ALL during the night, I finally go to sleep around 4-5am, a lot of it might be anxiety from worrying about whats wrong , but I don't know. I do have a cardiologist appointment, im just waiting for them to confirm the day. Anyways any help here can help me, I am at a loss for what is going on and would really like to get back to living a normal life. thanks

    RE: heart attack, or?

Our health is so important and it's difficult to hear of someone so young to be dealing with these issues. You were right to go the the ER and it sounds as if they ran the appropriate tests for you.
Perhaps your Cardiologist will order a stress test and MRI of your chest with contract to give you piece of mind if he concurs with the ER doctors diagnosis.
If not, then I hope you get the correct diagnosis and and procedure done to get better.

Hi What your saying sounds very much like just trapped wind, try taking some very strong peppermint and see if that gets rid of it either a cordial or some really strong peppermint sweets. then go for a brisk walk.
