    Frequent urination issues

I've been urinating every hour up to four times. Been having bedwetting issues for the past year and half. I've taken to wearing fitted briefs when I sleep. Recently I've noticed not just how often I urinate but finding occasional damp spot in the front of my underwear. I've had a full urology tests done. I have anxiety disorder as part of my disability. Everything has been ruled out physically. My anxiety has been causing the bedwetting. Now I keep finding the front of my underwear wet. Should I start wearing the fitted briefs during the day too???

    RE: Frequent urination issues

Hi There could be two things that may help your problems, for you anxiety you could try meditation so for this just google anxiety and meditation, ther you find some help and meditation is drug free way of helping you, you don't say if you on drugs for it if you are and do start meditation see your doctor about being weaned of any drugs your on, wioth meditation you start your day by doing it, and anytime during the day you fill your anxierty is getting on top of you you just go and do some meditation to distress your self.

As for your urination problem you could try kegels, this will help tighten up your pelvic floor muscles and also your sphincter muscles as it these that control your urination, for these very simple exercises just pop over to www.pegym and under the header banner your see along there kegels, just click on it and just follow what they say, the only equipment your need is you and you can do these anywhere you like, and don't forget to do the reverse kegels, these you do need to be sitting down for and relaxed and try to have an empty bladder. OK

I know all that already but thank you. I've had anxiety and other emotional issues my whole life. As a teen I studied Zen Buddhist meditation. In the past eight years my mental illness got to where I couldn't work or drive. Since then been on disability and a cocktail of meds. Including xanex. Part of the meds are so I can actually sleep, due to stress and anxiety issue I don't get tired or sleepy without medications. My anxiety causes other physical issues such as muscle tension and spasms in my neck and back. In fact last year had to have neck surgery to put a disc back in place because of the muscle tension. But with my bladder issues, I am already okay with wearing fitted briefs every night for my bedwetting. The frequent urination has become a seriously time consuming inconvenience. Just wondering with all my daytime issues I am now having, if I should go ahead and wear them more often?

So as you have trained in meditation now's the time to start using it, and if you can get it working in your favour then you could with the help of your doctor start to wean of your drugs, as if you do google anxiety and meditation your then see how it helps, perhaps coming off drugs will relieve your incontinence problems.

But also try the kegels. OK

Hi as your keeping to have to go do you think you empty your bladder completely? if its no try seeing your doctor and have your prostate checked out ask for a DRE to be done, as this is the best way. OK

In march my physician had me go get a full work up by a urologist, so I can Medicaid cover a prescription for fitted briefs. They can be costly. But that's for my bedwetting. I just wondering with what going on during the day if I should wear fitted briefs more often. I don't get to my physician again until June. The urologist ruled everything out, the only possible cause is my anxiety.

    RE: Frequent urination issues

Talk to your psychiatrist There is a psychiatric disorder that causes people to sleep too deeply. As a result they cannot sense the need to go. All 3 of my sisters had it.

Actually my psychiatrist prescribes me trazadone cause I otherwise don't sleep or get tired naturally any more due trying to deal with my anxiety and stress ocd on my own.

Try not to argue with nohard. He will try to bully you into doing what he says. He feels he knows more than any medical professional. WebMD has deleted the posts of those looking to sue him.

Does the trazodone help you sleep? I have a lot of sleep issues. Either cannot fall asleep or stay asleep.

Yes trazadone help greatly without it I'd never sleep. I started out on 25mg but over time have moved up to 300mg, but psychiatrist has me take latuda to keep from having to increase the trazadone further.
