    Penis Numbness after biking

Kind of embarrassing but I did a bike race (Tri) that included a long bike race, swim and wore super-tight shorts for about 5 hours. Afterwards my penis was numb and continues to be 9 days after. Feeling has come back slowly but some numbness has continued in the head area. I can get an erection (more involuntary) still (though the numbness makes sex tougher)

I have done a lot of cycling and feel like it's consistent w/ what I've read about the 'perinium' causing these issues. My question is - that assuming this is the cause from cycling - is there anything I can do about the numbness (medication, supplements etc.) and should I see a urologist (and if so what can they do)?

Thx in advance for any info anyone can provide.

    RE: Penis Numbness after biking

You should use a creme called Man1 Man Oil. It is made just for the penis and treats numbness, chafing, soreness, dryness etc. It contains several vitamins, nutrients and proteins that quickly and safely get things back to normal down there. I'm a cyclist myself and always keep a bottle handy for issues like this. It is an awesome product. Hope this helps.

Thanks Chris: So you've experienced this same issue and used this stuff? How long did yours last for?

He is just a salesman for selling his snake oil/cream, and the main thing he does not tell you its $ 40 a pop for just a 4oz bottle of his snake oil.

    RE: Penis Numbness after biking

Hi You have crushed you nerves at the back of your penis and very slowly it will as your finding come back just give it time that is all you can do.

But keep of that dam bike till it does then get your self some proper cycling shorts with the pad underneath to protect your penis nerves, this has been a cycling problem for to long.

Read through this link it could be helpful for you. OK.

Thx for your help (I figured this was someone that trolls these boards - who talks like that anyway)?

I hope your numbness issue has been resolved. But maybe this will help in the future.
I think the numbness was caused by the long distance race and wearing very tight shorts. I believe you've figured that out by now.
I also suspect your bike's seat pad does not offer the much needed comfort.
Some manufacturers have come up with bike saddles that allow for proper blood flow into the genital area. Some saddles are known to restrict blood blow, hence the numbness and pain in some cases.
Here is an excellent article that discusses the issue:
