Worried I may of done something to cause a stroke , please help :(

So about an hour ago I was blowing my nose and I suppose I blew a bit hard and then after I felt all this pressure in my head and my head hurt a bit, I searched it up to just see and it said you can tear blood vessels in your head and it will then cause a stroke, I'm freaking out, I'm going on holiday in a few days and I don't want to worry about it, if I am going to have a stroke when will I have it ? When will the symptoms show? I don't have a cold so it can't be anything to do with a cold, thanks , Lydia :(

You might have popped something in your ear, but stop by your family doctor and make sure. I doubt it's a stroke, as that isn't the symptoms. I'd say enjoy your holiday, and don't blow so hard! :) I'm not down playing your issue at all.... maybe an a allergist might be seen. My dad blew his nose so hard it would bleed. He had no reason that he could give us. No stokes for him. If you are over all healthy, and have no brain injury, or heart problems, then I wouldn't worry about having a stroke. But, let's make you feel better... so if you think you or someone is having a stoke, ask them to smile. Ask them to hold up both arms and both should stay up for a bit - depending on age and strength. If one falls quickly, then that can be a sign. Ask them to close one eye and touch YOUR nose. (that is my personal one). Have them (with their eyes only) look up, look down, look left and right. If they can, it is fine. So if you get scared, these are some simple things you can check. Strokes feel like something is going on in your head. It is definitely a different feeling and will make you stop and consider. Don't let your brain talk you into bad health... yes, our brains have that ability. But, it's good to be safe and ask, instead of worrying. Best wishes.
