    question on vision

I had a brain stroke 9 years ago, I lost both peripheral vision sides, later the left side came back, however things are always moving, either slowly, or very fast, when things look like they are moving fast I don't see on the left side for hours to days,, then things will stop appearing like they move fast and I can see again, very blurry though. and sometimes things just disappear on that side all together, there one day and gone the next. is this normal and does it ever go away or clear up more? the right side is still gone. one eye doc said this can happen as its a trick your brain plays on you and another said this is not possible and looked at me like I was nuts.

    RE: question on vision

I am so sorry, that would be so hard to deal with on a daily basis. I would find an occupational therapist that specializes in vision. I am currently seeing one through my opthamologist and it has helped so much. It is hard for me to remember that it isn't my eyes that are the problem, it is my brain. Vision type therapy has helped train my brain on making the eyes work together. I had lost the left side vision but luckily got most of it back. So now we are focusing more on Convergence and Divergence. I don't think I would be as far as I am in my recovery if I didn't have this therapy. Good luck and I hope things work out.
