    INpatient Pain clinic

Does anyone know of the existence of an INPATIENT pain facility? It seems like every hospital system has an OUTpatient pain clinic, but none have any inpatient.
What I am looking for is a pain clinic that does not release you until they are able to find a pain management that works.
I have severe chronic joint pain due to joint laxity. All my joints hurt, but no swelling. Everything hurts at a “9” all day, every day. No opioids EVER have helped. I have had a spinal cord stimulator, and several experimental treatments. Nothing has yet to work.

    RE: INpatient Pain clinic

Everything I’ve ever seen is either outpatient pain or pain management while your already at a residential facility. Nothing inpatient pain unless you’re already at a inpatient for something else (drugs, elderly, cancer or physical rehab facility)

    RE: INpatient Pain clinic

The University of Nebraska Medical Center has a 4-week pain program where you are there 8 am to 4 pm. Not sure if that means you LIVE there, as in stay overnight. I can't look into it; who can take four weeks off from work?! I've seen orthopedic surgeons since 2000 following a traumatic knee injury; since then it's been one downhill spiral. Two knee surgeries (including replacement), hip replacement, debilitating pain in my cervical and lumbar spine (bone spurs on lumbar and sacral vertebra; bone spurs on both feet; thumb joint about ready to collapse, etc). Every hour of every day. And my regular doctor thinks I'm "irritable" and "high strung: and "stressed out". Walk a mile, baby, walk a FREAKING MILE. Because I sure as h*ll can't.

Nebraska Medicine has one of the oldest pain management programs in the country and as another person mentioned here, it is a four week program that patients attend from 8-5 each week day. We have more information available here:
