    RE: Walgreen Shorting Prescriptions

If I was you I'd switch to a different pharmacy totally not go to another Walgreens especially if when you count the pills in front of them and they deny the count is off. I'd also report the Walgreens to corporate because something is happening to those pills and I think someone is making money off of the miscounted prescriptions.
    Good luck!!

    RE: Walgreen Shorting Prescriptions

We have. The surprising thing is all of the different locations. To add insult to injury the place we are getting them filled now is 50% cheaper!!

Something is up if all different locations are shortchanging their customers of pills. I have no clue how pharmacys work but I know as a former nurse my medicine count HAD to be right down to last little pill or liquid. There has to be some kind of regulations so someone isn't making a lot of money selling the leftover pills that they shortchanged someone out of.
Glad you left them and that you are paying less for the right amount of pills!!

    RE: Walgreen Shorting Prescriptions

I just had this happen but they shorted me 30 10 mg Oxycodone! I’ve been on the phone and road all day trying to deal with this. Pharmacy Manager claims pill count is accurate and videos show the correct amount of pills filled but 30 pills disappeared between 60 being put in bottle and me picking rx up. I could tell he knew something happened there but left me to be out of medicine a week early and having to deal with nightmare this will create with my brand new pain management Dr. This was literally the first prescription he wrote for me. I have left message for Walgreens corporate to call me about it, state pharmacy board and filing police report tomorrow. Pharmacy Board told me some of those employees will fill the prescription correctly in front of camera to create appearance of innocence and then very carefully get the pills out at some point after that. I’ve used this pharmacy for years and never called them claiming I was shorted. I’ve been in pain management for years and I have never asked for an early prescription or said I lost mine. I’m so exhausted from dealing with this and terrified Walgreens has cost me so much more than just the 30 stolen pills.

Wow!!!! Did anything come of this? I swear I recently had oral surgery my surgeon wrote me for 50 pills. Got my script (I was still loopy from anesthesia) and it said 45 pills and I was like umm ok counted them and the count was off by a few called down there and was basically told I was wrong or lying I was in so much pain I let it go. This is a real thing and it has happened to family members also but nothing ever come of it bc the pharmacy is always right they make the customer look like the abuser even when they r wrong. It's nuts

I keep my meds in a safe and get out a week at a time one of my pain meds was short 3 pills when I get my new script filled I never need it till the next day. So I don't have one for tonight I get my new one tomorrow I never have to pick my meds up to have my first dose and my scripts r always for 30 day supply the pharmacist said their count is right so I believe my 3 pills went down someone's throat in that pharmacy this is the first time this has happened to me I'm pissed I will always count them from now on it sucks when u can not trust ur pharmacy

    RE: Walgreen Shorting Prescriptions

I too was short 9 of my pain meds on April 2nd. I called management, and corporate. Store Management called me a lier. Said he and 3 other people watched the video. I asked for the pharmacy manager first, she was not in. I called corporate and told them what I have been going through with Walgreens for over a year. They are rotton! Taking my scripts, then calling me hours later saying they do not have medication available. Driving there after getting a call saying they are ready. I had driven there 3 times for 1 medication. To get there to find out, they are not ready.... That I need to go to my Dr. Office to get A different script. A ton of things these people have put me through. Knowing I do not have transportation... They even told me not to O.D. on my medication, on 2 seperate accounts.... I can not believe how they treat people! I changed pharmacies! I had been with Walgreens for years. NOT ANY MORE!
