    Going back on Betaseron

My wife of 45 years has had MS for 35 of those years. For 17 years she was on an every-other-day injection program. This she stopped 7 years ago due to site infections and calcium or hard buildups.
Her new nerologist has told her that she may benefit from returning to the program.
Is there anyone who has done this return? If so, can some indicate any changes to methods and doses?

    Thank you

    RE: Going back on Betaseron

I'm a 58 yr old female that's had MS since I was 23 yrs. I took Betaseron and Copaxon when I was first diagnosed. I did very well on both of these therapies. I had a severe onset so unfortunately neither of these kept me from having exacerbations. I ended up taking Avonex Beta 1a Interferon Weekly Shots. I did fantastic on this Therapy!! When I first took Avonex the Shot was the kind the Patient had to mix...EASY. Long Story Short~The Manufacturer just stopped making this available because currently they have 3 easier forms to take this medication. After all these years I've decided to try Betaseron or Copaxon again. I unfortunately just had a Severe Allergic Reaction to the Aubagio pill. I don't want to go through a lot of the newer medications at this time in my life. I hope this is of some help to you.
