Reasons to be sad but it’s hard!!!!!

I do have chronic depression that I function well with. But I now have children I’ve nannied for 8 years moving around the world. Everyone knows I’m sad and a lot of the family and friends are also sad. But I have moments where I cannot stop crying, feeling hopeless and so alone. Recently I learned how hurtful it is to my mother that I am so sad so I’ve chosen not to call her with tears. And she’s always been my sounding board. I wish I had a husband or my own kids or more friends. I’ve basically pushed all my friends away because I feel like I’m too sad and crazy to deal with. Day by day, I will keep moving, but boy it’s no fun.

One thing I noticed you said is that you don't call your mother with tears. That could be part of the problem. If she is your sounding board, then by all means, TALK to her, no matter what state you're in. It's when you hold it all in that it gets worse. It's like a spring: the more you compress it, the faster it's going to fly back in your face.

You have to let it out. You'll always feel better if you do.

Thanks! You are so right. Someone spontaneously paid for my coffee and I burst into tears.

Have you ever thought about going to therapy?

A good therapist is trained to listen and to help you get to the root of your problems - give you tools for transforming your life, help with relationships, help you build the life you want and the coping skills to handle whatever life throws your way.

It's good to have friends or family who will listen and be supportive, but they don't have the above training or skills to help you as does a therapist, which is why going into therapy can be so good!

Therapy is not always easy and it requires you doing the work and not just listening or just talking, which is why some people either don't like therapy or don't think it's effective. It's as effective as the amount of work you put into it.

So, if you have never gone to or thought of therapy, I would definitely think about going.

    Sincerely,
    Debbie

Thanks, I do go to therapy. I mostly love it even though it can be tough. Maybe I don’t go enough. I don’t talk to many friends about how much I cry. I don’t want them to pity me. Everyone knows I’m dealing with depression tho.
Maybe I should let some others “in”.
        Thanks for responding!!

    Good Afternoon Depress,

They call me Sha, and I have a certificate in Naturopathy.

Depress, did you know that there is a thin line in distinguishing boredom from depression. It's true, they both fall in the same category.

Depress, when we have no obtainable goal to live for, we become sad, unhappy, emotional, lethargic and suicidal. Why? because we have no survival mechanism worth fighting for.

Oh yeah we go to work, eat, sleep, pay bills and have some form of entertainment; that's is considered functional survival, big deal.

We all have survival tools, we just need to find them, and force it to our advantage. You mentioned having a husband or children, just might may you happy.

WELL WHAT THE HELL IS STOPPING YOU GO FOR IT!

The first thing you are going to have to do is feel good about yourself.

    CONFIDENCE OATH

    1. I AM SOMEONE SPECIAL

    2. IF I THINK YOU ARE WORTH MY TIME AND EFFORT LEARN TO APPRECIATE

    3. GET READY I ONLY KNOCK ONCE

Depress, while you are working on building up your self esteem, take this vitamins. Valerian Roots, Siberian Ginseng, Brewers Yeast, L-Theanine and Gingko Biloba. Blend all vitamins with either Almond, or Soy Milk, combine with 100 percent Vitamin C Juice, add spice(s) Ginger and Cinnamon.
    Drink it everyday.

What I suggested to you Depress, is a Euphoria Drink, whose primary goal is to release endorphins/dopamine cells that is being suppressed.

Once the juice takes effect, you will see a change in your mood temperament, in a very positive way; it will also give you energy to carry out your objectives.

    Keep us posted Depress.

    Good Luck
