I recently had an Ecg & it said normal sinus rhythm, my Gp said it looks fine but it did say old ateroseptal myocardial infarction. I’m confused as ecg read as normal?

    RE: Ecg

Normal sinus rhythm means normal rate and rhythm, however, a finding of an old ateroseptal myocardial infarction aka heart attack, should be thoroughly investigated with additional diagnostics, to confirm or rule it out.

ateroseptal = anterior front wall and septal =spetum or the center wall which seperates/divides the right side of the heart from the left side.
