    Fibromyalgia Flare-Up

Hello! I just recently got diagnosed with Fibromyalgia after about two years of dealing with this horrid pain. The burning sensation all over my legs and arms is killing me, it’s safe to say a flare-up is going on. How do you manage flare-ups, please someone with more experience help me. I have not found a single thing that has helped.

    RE: Fibromyalgia Flare-Up

Try soaking in a warm Epsom salt bath. I generally do this 1-3 times a week I like Dr Teals brand that is lavender enriched and comes in a bubble bath form. However any Epsom salt you get from the store, usually in the pharmaceutical section will help the same. Use about 1/2 to 1 cup in. Full bath. Unfortunately, a flare will stay for as long as it wants and there's really not much you can do to speed it along. Rest as much as you can. And ask family or friends for help with chores. I hope this helps a little...

    RE: Fibromyalgia Flare-Up

    Hi there from Canada,
I was diagnosed in 1996 and I've had a fair few number of flares in that time. As hard as it is I have to make myself get up and move -- to a degree. And at the same time balance that with being nice to myself. Lots of rest (no guilt) and maintaining a positive outlook. And hot showers, with a little extra XS Tylenol and Advil. I don't know if this helps, but it's worth a shot.

    RE: Fibromyalgia Flare-Up

As a long time sufferer, 15 years. I can say I've tried a lot of different strategies for dealing with the different and persistent pains you I've had. Last 3months I've used magnesium spray for the burning of my legs and it has helped. Also using ice to calm the burning pain. Research Vitamins and minerals, herbs that can help. Ask ur physician about meds that are for other problems but can be prescribed for the symptoms you are suffering with. Educate yourself as much as possible ,it can help you feel some control with it. Try CBD oil ,check it out. Good luck with your research, I wish you the best. Peace
