    Can’t stop coughing

I’ve been to every doctor in town and no one seemed to know why. Every other month or so, I would get this tickling in the back of the throat, then I’d cough here and there. Within a day or so, I’d be coughing nonstop with tight chest and mucus. Then my ears started to plug-up. Sometimes running nose but very congested chest. About 3-4 times a day, I would feel a stab at the back of the throat then I coughed until I threw up. I sleep with a humidifier every night so it’s not dry air.

They did X-ray, sonogram, flu test, throat test...etc. all they could tell me was I had some sort of infection and put me on antibiotics. It would last for about 2 weeks each time. I don’t know what else to do. Please help point me to the right direction. My doctor kept giving me more and more antibiotics but they didn’t do anything for me.
