    Do I have Asthma

For the last year I have been really struggling. I’m a 50 year old woman going through the menopause and having weird symptoms such as having feelings of something crawling underneath my skin as well as the usual flushes. I’m taking an antihistamine which helps with the itching and Maca capsules which are a godsend for the sweats.
Anyway I have noticed when I exercise and exert myself just slightly I become short of breath, coughing and wheezing... I mentioned it to my doctor who prescribed me an inhaler. I tried to shrug it off and convince myself this is all to do with my reflux as yes i have that too so never used the inhaler. Today after my bicycle ride I had all the symptoms so i decided to give the inhaler a go.. took two puffs and have to be honest did instantly feel a bit better. I also noticed after eating too I get short of breath and cough a bit so I’m really confused
Does this mean I have asthma or is this reflux and after any exercise I’m struggling so should I continue with the inhaler?
Any advice would be so gratefully appreciated.
    Thank You

    RE: Do I have Asthma

Usually Asthma is a chronic situation develops in early years of life .
What is the inhaler active substance ( steroid or beta agonist ) ?
The Sx you have, did you feel it before taking the antihistamine drug ?
How much time do you exercise ? and are you an active person from time age or just started to exercise?

        Hi
        Thank You for your reply.
I am currently taking Fexofenadine 180mg for the itching. I tend to find I am short of breath after eating and then start to cough. I’m not sure if food can trigger asthma?but i also have read that going through the menopause can affect you and bring on asthma?
I am taking a Preventor twice daily Clenil Modulite and a Reliever Salbutamol 100mcg when required.
As for exercise I’m active all day and do cycling a few times a week but as soon as I’m slightly out of breath i start to cough and wheeze.
So basically after eating I’m coughing and short of breath and after any exercise I’m coughing and short of breath!
