    Shingrix side effects

Eighteen days ago my wife received her first Shingrix vaccine, the next day she was tired. Over the next two weeks she didn't feel well, experiencing muscle pain, joint pain and feeling somewhat nauseous. Some days she feels much better, then the symptoms reappear. Two days ago she had a fever of 100.3, Tylenol knocks down the fever. Today she mentioned that sometimes during the day she has slight tingling in her finger tips. Internet searches indicate numerous side effects from Shingrix but typically these adverse reactions last no more than 5 days. We have an upcoming appointment with our doctor. Any information will be appreciated. Thanks.

    RE: Shingrix side effects

Two doctor visits, numerous lab tests and several hundred dollars later: sed rate indicated inflammation, ANA test normal, white counts normal. Three plus weeks after the Shingrix injection the symptoms were gone and sed rate was returning to normal. The doctor thinks it was a reaction to the vaccine (not necessarily an allergic reaction) and strongly recommends my wife NOT get the second injection. This info was reported to GlaxoSmithKline.
