        : hi! I am so iron deficient. A good way is to also take an iron tablet. But be sure to take it on an empty stomach with some orange juice or other citrus. Otherwise your body will not absorb it! This is why a lot of iron supplement are wasted. Wait about 30 mins before eating.

    If your provider was concerned your levels were so low you may miscarry, I guarantee you would hear from them before Thursday. In the meantime, keep taking your prenatals and Google things to eat. Do know that you can get too much iron so I wouldn’t jump to supplements without direction from your midwife. If they do recommend iron supplements, they can contribute to constipation (as well as pregnancy) so make a plan to combat that, too.
