RE: When to start buying stuff

Everyone thought I was absolutely insane, but I started really buying stuff at like 15 weeks. In hindsight, I didn't really need to, people who come to babyshowers seems to be reallllllly big spenders and would have bought all of it(I didn't know this until I just had my shower and was completely surprised, but I also have never really been comfortable with the idea of people buying me/the baby a lot of things). But honestly, if there are things that you really like, that you personally want to buy because that's just what you really want I am a weirdo who says go ahead and start! (:

: well it's normal to amywhere around 30 weeks. I did mine at 31. I thought it was great timing because it gives you time to get everything in order(though if you are like me in this too it only took 3 days to be completely organized). Even if you end up with a preemie it's usually sometime around 34 weeks or later so I think that's what you should aim for.

RE: When to start buying stuff

I got a couple little things right away, outfits and such, and plan on getting things as they come on sale. Except the big stuff, that I'll wait until my second trimester.

RE: When to start buying stuff

I'm 28 weeks and I haven't bought anything. I'm waiting til after my baby shower in a couple of weeks so that I'm not buying the same things as other people. But I do have a separate funds account for when my husband and I do go baby shopping crazy. It's hard to wait though!

RE: When to start buying stuff

I'm 5 weeks and have already started online shopping for small things like the diaper bag and a few outfits. With my first pregnancy I waited till my baby shower at 34 wks and honestly didn't get much. I was pregnant at 17 and was working a minimum wage job. My boyfriend at the time didn't work so I kind of relied on the baby shower and realized it was a bad idea afterwords. This time I'm much better off as a manger making decent money. But I'm definitely not going to wait till the end to buy things.

RE: When to start buying stuff

Community, thanks for the help! My wife is 16 week, first time and we don't know when to start buying stuff. I ordered some things already. And almost lost them because I misspelt my postal code https://postcodefinder.net/ . Anyway, we are worried a bit about oncoming events.
