• Dogs and pulled muscles

So I took my dog for a walk this morning and I was trying to pull her into different direction and she wouldn’t come with me. I think I might’ve pulled too hard or something (I’m very gentle with my dog) she’s in pain now her left torso side and leg hurts when I gentle touch it she cries. I know she’s in pain. I’ve been rubbing her with muscle relief gel and gave her aspirin. I wonder if she needs a vet. My dog is 10 years old too.

    RE: Dogs and pulled muscles

First, I’m not a vet, just a dog lover. I have a 13 year old Minpin with same issue. She probably got tangled up with our young cat. I ended up taking her to the vet and, following exam prescribed rimadol pain med to ease discomfort. It worked extremely well and our dog is feeling much better. In short, my advice is to err on the side of caution. If I were you I’d schedule a vet trip.

    RE: Dogs and pulled muscles

Hi I find with my dogs when they get these there gone the next day with no treatment, seems there pretty good healers on there own, I find mine just go and sleep it off.

Tip, you should use any human drugs or rubs on animals.
