    Cats and plants

I just recently lost my dad and my church sent me a basket with plants in it. I don't know a thing about plants and don't know what kind they are and looked online but couldn't find them. I know some plants are dangerous to cats but how do I know if these are?

    RE: Cats and plants

There is an extensive list. The Humane Society has an excellent one. The first thing you should get rid of however is the popular plant Diffenbachia. Also known as Dumb Cane. It paralyzes vocal chords. Can be extremely serious to pets and humans.

    RE: Cats and plants

Some months ago, I adopt two cats who didn't have a home and to make them feel comfortable I bought some cats things. Because they are two, I found the best cat water fountains on https://petsquick.com/best-cat-water-fountain-complete-reviews-with-comparison/ which also filter the water. I bought one for them and it was very comfortable. When one of my friends visited me, she noticed that I have a strange flower, and being a cat lover she knew everything about them. She threw that flower at the same moment, saying that it is very bad for cats. So, be very attentive to those flowers.

    RE: Cats and plants

I would take pictures of the plants and go to a nursery or a plant store to ask the experts if they know what the plants are. Otherwise, keep the plants out of reach of the cats.
