    RE: Parvo survival rate

It's good that she's getting treatment. I have a now healthy 5-year-old dog who ended up having parvo when I got him from the shelter at 7 months. He was at the vet for around a week being treated with fluids and such. If I remember correctly, survival rate for a dog being treated is somewhere in the mid-80% range. Of course that depends on things like her overall health before parvo, how early you caught it, etc. Has your vet given you any info on what to expect? Have faith that she is in good hands with your vet and will get better. I know that it can be tough, but you are doing all that you can! Not sure if having worms affects treatment, but round worms are relatively easy to get rid of with a de-worming pill. I hope you'll keep us updated.

    RE: Parvo survival rate

I got a dog that had been at the city pound, then from a rescue that had paid no attention to him so he was skinny and not in good condition. We took him to the vet because of his symptoms. He was treated for parvo and is now a healthy, happy 9 year old. With good vet care your puppy will be fine.
