    Diabetic pet problems

My cat is now 15 years old and was diagnosed with diabetics 3 years ago. The vet keeps agreeing that there is something else wrong with him, but can't seem to figure out what it is. His glucose curve testing keeps coming out in the normal range, it his urine outTake is out of control again. I can't afford to continue replacing the floors of my home and need some help! I feel that his quality of life has disappeared but his vet won't agree and I am at my wits end. I love my cat and have since I found him as a stray at about 3 weeks old, but I don't know how much more I can take! Any advice would be greatly appreciated!!!!!

My vet has not mentioned feline leukemia as a possibility. He has tested his urine and blood several times in the past few years, to keep an eye on potential kidney failure. My cat is an indoor cat that hasn't interacted with any other cats (other than his also indoor brother) in probably about 13 years, and from my understanding, is extremely low risk for feline leukemia because of this. Thanks for the suggestion though!

Water intake has increased again, constant hunger (he's breaking into cabinets and the locking trash can looking for food), he has started pooping in the tub at least once a day because his urine is out of control. I have two litter boxes for him, and empty/refresh them daily. He's lethargic, but has always been on the lazy side. His fur on his belly and hind legs keeps getting matted, so he's also up to weekly baths.
