    What To Do

Dear All: I recently cut my parents off and I am seeking input whether I did the right thing. My father in February called the woman who watches our 2 year old son a “fat ass” then said my wife was inflexible for not selecting a daycare in their town which is three towns from ours and would require of her an extra 30 minutes of drive on her days off. He then said “You people don’t know what the *** you are doing. Don’t get me started. Your son can’t even talk.” And this comment triggered me. Our....

Then she went to sleep laying on my shoulders and now she is fine. But this caused us to be panicked....

Parents, I have a question about referrals

A little bit of background, my son is 2 and has always had a big head. It runs in our families. The doctors asked if it was common in our families because they were worried about fluid on the brain. After we explained that it was common they didn't seem to be worried. There's a doctor which we never had to see but they were suggested by the NICU after he was born. They didn't seem concerned about fluid on the brain either, until this last visit. I get the feeling that this doctor is covering....

    ADHD Behavioral Support

Hi, I am a 50 year old mother of two ADHD children, 10 and 8 years old. I've gone back to school to get a masters in Communication. I have focused my thesis research on new behavioral interventions for ADHD children that I hope will increase peer relationships, decrease disruptive behaviors, decrease parental stress and be both child motivating and child monitored. I am looking for parents who are willing to participate in a completely anonymous 10 min. questionnaire or be interviewed for 15....

I have had concerns about my 2.5 year old step son for several months now. Although he has improved in some areas, I feel he his showing several signs of autistic behavior such as: very little speech (can say maybe 10 words - colors, bye, ball - consistently, but pronouciation is extremely limited). He makes a lot of sounds with his mouth closed. He has little understanding of words & commands - as if he doesn’t understand what your saying and seems uninterested. If he wants something, he will....

I have a 2 year nephew that is currently going thru autism testing. When his parents lay him down for sleeping he rocks back and forth on his crib sheets until he rubs his forehead raw. He always has sores on his forehead. They've tried using bandaids but he manages to pull off the bandaids and put them in his mouth. Any suggestions?
