My daughter suddenly got seizure(I think..not sure how to describe it)

Hi my 2 yr old daughter was playing and she went to close the door but came back to me cryingfor no reason. I thought she got hurt and took her in my arms when she suddenly started started convulsing and her eyes rolled up and her body became out of control. I couldnt hold her and when my hubby was about to call ambulance she started crying at the top of her lungs and wouldnt stop for about half an hour. Then she went to sleep laying on my shoulders and now she is fine. But this caused us to be panicked and want to know what exactly happened. If anyone could help explain the reason I would be extremely grateful.
    Thank you

Maybe she sensed something was wrong or suddenly didnt feel good and thats why she ran to you for comfort and not because of injury. My son has had a few seizures starting at age 2 but they all were fever induced. The first time he was acting sick and feverish but suddenly spicked over 107 really fast and the other was a fever that came on within minutes and then went away. I know how scary it was because I never experienced anything like that or seen a seizure in my life and I will never forget how scary it was watching his eyes roll back like that. After ems came and we got to the hospital they explained that seizures brought on by fevers are very common in children and all you can do is control the fever with Tylenol or ibuprofen to avoid dramatic spikes because thats when they happen and are very rare there is underlying neurological problems. The second time the fever came on so fast we didnt even know a fever was coming on in time to give him anything before he started seizing but since he was hot I knew it was just the fever so didn't even take him to the hospital after since I knew how to monitor it after. But as long as it doesn't last more that 2 minutes it shouldn't cause damage. Obviously yoy should get a dr opinion but thats my experiences.

take her to the damn doctor/emergency room. your daughter just convulsed in your arms. how are you going to put stock into a diagnosis from strangers on the internet? If you're here to get weigh-in on what happened to your daughter... what occured is NOT ok.... and your daughter needs medical attention. BUH BYE NOW
