    Red fingers and toes

For the past 2-3 years, I've been experiencing red/hot/painful/mildly swollen fingers and toes with exposure to hot climate, cold climate, emotional stress, and alcohol consumption. The redness involves all 10 fingers and does not extend onto the dorsal palm area (with the same distribution on the toes/feet). It persists about 10 minutes after coming into a comfortable temperature area.

I am in my mid 20s, have no know medical conditions, take no medicine, have an IUD, and have had normal CBC and LFTs for the past 2 years (and always). What is going on? Should I be worried?

    RE: Red fingers and toes

Hi I would try coming of the alcohol for a few months and see how that pans out, you may find it goes away if that's right well you know what you have to then.

As for you stress your find that meditation will help you far better than drugs can, just google stress and meditation, your find lots of help there, and you also see that the Mayo Clinic rates meditation as a very good toll for controlling stress along with other top doctors.

If your on drugs for stress see your doctor if you want to try meditation, as you need to be weaned off them, and it takes time. OK

If you want to try meditation see if you can find a local group to help get you start into the ways of meditation. OK

I only drink socially and not even at every social interaction. (Usually 1-2 servings per month)
