Hi this would be best that you see your doctor or gyno to find out what is at the root of your problem. OK

    Dear Mayene,
You didn't mention how old you are-but this is certainly a very typical pattern for women heading into perimenopause. Basically, it sounds like you are not ovulating on a regular basis at the moment-so anything that interferes with ovulation could do this (like crazy thyroid function, for example). So do check in with you gynecological provider, and this can be evaluated, and get these cycles under control.
    Good luck.

    Dear Mayene,
menstrual irregularities as you are describing are quite common in the perimenopause-but there are also other causes of irregular cycles. You didn't mention how old you are. So if you are quite young, and having periods like this (like if you were, say 30), one could look at thyroid abnormalities. But, if for example you are now 50, perimenopause would be the likeliest explanation. And there are things one can do to regulate this type of bleeding-so do check in with your health care provider (for example, a low dose birth control pill can be very helpful)
    good luck,
    Mary Jane
