    Breastfeeding

Any moms who have breastfed and have flat nipples? I really want to breastfeed but I'm super nervous I won't be able to because my baby won't be able to latch. I wouldn't say that my nipples are completely flat, they do stick out a good bit (one more so than the other), but they slightly contract inwards when I do the little pinch test. Any wise words?

    RE: Breastfeeding

Trust me when your milk comes, it will enlarge your nipples especially when your producing milk and delivering it to your baby or pumping. I had the smallest breast my whole pregnancy untill I delivered and started pumping milk. Good luck, you'll be fine.

    RE: Breastfeeding

I had flat nipples too and have now successfully breastfed my firstborn for 21 months and counting (he's a little milk monster). I won't lie - it was tough at first. When my milk first came in he couldn't get latched because I was engorged and there was nothing for him to get a hold on. I ended up needing a nipple shield which was frustrating for me, but we made it through

There are also nipple shields I believe that's what they are called and they help the baby latch. Super affordable.
