    RE: Worried

If it helps you calm down the risk of having a miscarriage after 13 weeks is 1.2%.. it's not common to have one after 12 weeks after the first trimester !

: Sorry but that stat is only applicable provided that the fetus has developed normally up to that point. I know it's comforting from one direction but it isn't completely accurate and can add to the pain of MMC.

    RE: Worried

I went through this as well. I feel like it's totally normal to have those thoughts as this is your first pregnancy and we hear a lot of sad stories on this topic. My worries did subside, but it's totally normal to be nervous about that. If it's coming to the point where you are getting really stressed over it, I would talk to your doc or midwife to ease your mind :)

    RE: Worried

Today, you are pregnant. Take comfort in that. Have you had an ultrasound or heard the heartbeat on a Doppler? Even if you have, I think that this time while waiting to feel something that makes you really "feel" pregnant like a growing belly or kicks is really hard. I heard the HB just last Tuesday with my doctor and still today I had a moment where I worried I was imagining it all. Just try to continue taking care of yourself and try to keep your mind occupied. They say that after first tri, which just drags by, time seems to move a lot faster. Just keep on keeping on.
