Does he need a tetanus shot???

So, I just caught my idiot 9 year old son chewing on a nasty, rusty, dirty, screw caked with something in the ridges that he found in the driveway... smh.... I made him brush his teeth and wash his mouth out with peroxide... but I'm still cringing over what could have been on it and what might be in him... does he need to go to the hospital or am I paranoid?

My 5 year old has a overactive imagination

My five year old has a overactive imagination. At first it was kind of funny and interesting when she would make up stories about things she has done which she never has but recently her stories have turned a little darker she has "friends"that she has made up an tell about them getting hurt in horrible ways and I have no idea where she would get the things she has said from. She tells these stories without missing a beat like these things have actually happened to these kids she has made....

How much should my baby weigh....

My baby is just over 5 months old and weighs 12 pounds 3 ounces. We have taken him to a gastro doctor who found nothing wrong with him other than reflux (which all babies have). My primary care pediatrician doesn't seem concerned with his weight but my gastro doctor is talking about feeding tubes. My baby is alert, happy, rolling over, sitting up, babbling, holding toys, and even wanting to stand up when we hold his hands. Should I be concerned?

    Stuck and unsure....

I have a son who is 2 years old and 8 months. We just got him accepted in our early intervention program recently with a delay in social/emotional and adaptive. He was able to pass on verbal however he's in the lower normal range. My concern is I'm not sure if he has autism or not. He doesn't flap his arms but he's been very passionate since day 1. For instance, small things like dropping something or opening/closing something set him off. He doesn't engage in much social interaction....

    4 year old behavior

Recently I've noticed my year old daughter playing very quietly alone by herself which is unusual for her specifically. This one particular time I noticed some unusual behavior. It looked to me as if she was touching her private parts. I asked what she was doing but she didn't want to tell me. She said she was embarrassed. Im pretty sure this is normal behavior for a child her age but I just want someone to tell me their experiences. I guess if you will, reassurance. TIA

10 Yr Old Boys, height vs weight- what drives balance?

I am a single mother of 2 kids. My youngest is my son, he just turned ten and is very excited to start football camp. He is currently growing extremely fast, in height and weight, his dad is saying he has gained more weight just in the last month. He has been eating healthy and has been exercising, only has still gained 10 lbs. Is it possible that he could be depressed to the point where no matter his actions and diet can effect his growth over just his state of mind? His father and I divorced 2....

My 11 year old has an advanced bone age

My son has been seeing an endocrinologist since he was seven and was diagnosed as having an advanced bone age of four years. He is now 11 and this has remained consistent. We have been seeing an endocrinologist at least twice a year since he was seven. I was just informed that my son should go on growth hormones. My son is considered average height at the 50th percentile. With an accelerated bone growth he should actually be tall for his age. If my son was 15, the age of his skeleton, he would not....
